Step into the working life of Lavender Goat Farm for a hands-on lavender distillation experience in Tasmania’s Huon Valley, approximately 60 minutes south of Hobart.
Discover how our farm-grown lavender is harvested and distilled using a traditional copper alembic. During lavender season, you’ll pick lavender from the field before helping to prepare it for distillation. Outside the flowering season, we distill lavender retained from our harvest.
You’ll make a scented lavender bag, enjoy a locally sourced morning or afternoon tea, meet the goats, and take home your own bottle of lavender hydrosol.
Your experience includes:
• Farm tour
• Lavender picking
• Hands-on lavender distillation
• Bottle of lavender hydrosol to take home
• Scented lavender bag making
• Morning or afternoon tea
Morning session: 9.30 am–12 noon
Afternoon session: 2.00 pm–4.30 pm
